Netflix & Tv series list: june/july

i will be doing these monthly, i will include movies ive rented through Netflix watched & loved, movies i didnt enjoy arent mentioned (if youd like me to mention those please leave a cmnt and next time i will) you will notice that most of these movies are anything but chick flicks lol thats what happens when you live with a man i usually only get a chick flick if i really want it, i will not be writing my own summarys for the movies but will include a summary via Netflix.com beacause i dont want to give any crutial info away
When his mentor is murdered, lone hit man Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) trains the man's son, Steve McKenna (Ben Foster), in the ways of the professional kill. Together Arthur and his eager apprentice hunt down those responsible for executing Steve's father. But the partnership gives rise to new dangers and deceptions. Simon West directs and Donald Sutherland co-stars in this action-packed remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson thriller.
From director Danny Boyle comes this harrowing tale of real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston (James Franco), who literally cuts himself loose from danger -- and lives to tell about it when sliding rock pins his forearm under a boulder during a climb in Utah. To stay alive, Ralston resorts to his basest survival instincts. The film scored Academy Award nominations in the Best Picture and Best Actor (Franco) categories.
While on a job in Iraq, civilian contractor Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) is attacked and kidnapped, then awakens to find himself buried alive in the middle of the desert with nothing but a lighter, a candle, a cell phone and a knife. Does Paul have the instincts he'll need to save himself? Director Rodrigo Cortés crafts a tense psychological thriller with sociopolitical undertones that doubles as an exercise in claustrophobic terror.
Seth Rogen and writing partner Evan Goldberg (Superbad) apply their trademark humor to the superhero genre in this big-screen action-adventure about a newspaper-publishing playboy (Rogen) who dons a disguise to fight crime after hours. As the Green Hornet, Britt Reid's power is no longer limited to the printed page -- and thanks to a nimble martial-arts expert (Jay Chou), he has the skills to expose the city's roughest criminals.
Doors slamming shut, shadows moving across the floor, the unexplained, terrifyingly real supernatural forces are back, and this time, Dan (Brian Boland), Kristi (Sprague Grayden), Ali (Molly Ephraim), baby Hunter and dog Abby become part of the nightmare as the cameras roll. Tod Williams (The Door in the Floor) directs and Michael R. Perry ("Persons Unknown") writes this spine-chilling sequel to the wildly popular 2009 flick.
When his wife is sent to jail on murder charges she fervidly denies, college professor John Brennan comes up with a plan to break her out by meticulously plotting the ultimate escape -- despite the fact that he's never committed a crime in his life.
When a trip to the Bermuda Triangle inevitably goes awry, shipwrecked travel writer Lemuel Gulliver (the inimitable Jack Black) finds himself in Lilliput, land of the little people, where he's bound to discover just how much size matters. Jonathan Swift's immortal satire gets a broad comic retelling in this updated adaptation directed by Rob Letterman. Amanda Peet, Emily Blunt and Billy Connolly also star.
After drifter Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin) murders her father, 14-year-old Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) hires alcoholic U.S. Marshal Reuben "Rooster" Cogburn (Jeff Bridges) to help her exact revenge. The disreputable lawman still has grit, though, and mounts an epic search. Joining the duo on their quest is a Texas Ranger (Matt Damon) who's also hunting for Chaney in this updated Western that received multiple Oscar nods, including Best Picture.
While investigating the mysterious disappearance of his father, Kevin (Jeff Bridges), techie Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) lands in a beguiling computerized world of enslaved gladiators, where his dad has been living for more than 20 years. Joined by Kevin's trusted friend (Olivia Wilde), the father and son must journey across a breathtaking -- and perilous -- cyberscape in this 21st-century update to the beloved 1982 sci-fi classic.

  7. Here's the link on imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1588170/ i saw it subtitled but maybe there's a dubbed version out there somewhere? It's the same director that did A Tale of Two Sisters and The Good The Bad and The Weird if you've seen/liked either of those. You may or may not want to fast forward through a couple of scenes though.
